We’re a family of four and really have to watch our pennies. We use our payment cards only when it’s absolutely necessary. In fact, we cancelled two of them because the yearly fees are expensive and it’s difficult to manage these fees on top of the other fees like late payment, over the limit, etc. For us to make informed decisions, we need better information. We were shocked to learn that Visa and MasterCard charge these hidden fees. It’s outrageous that they can just set them in secret with their banks at any amount they like and then charge supermarkets and businesses and their shoppers via these banks.
